ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born on May 22, 1859 in Edinburgh.
He studied at the universities of Stonyhurst and Edinburgh.
From 1882 to 1890 practiced medicine in Southsea (England).
The first of the 68 stories in which Sherlock Holmes appears, "Study in Scarlet" was published in 1887.
He was brilliant in detective stories, and he became a rich person in only five years, so he left the medical profession to dedicate all the time writing.
He died on July 7, 1930 in Crowborough.
All his characters were brilliant, since the creation of Sherlock Holmes, to the characters who accompany him: his friend, Dr. Watson, who is the narrator of the stories, the criminal Professor Moriarty... The author based their creations on a teacher he met at university with good deductive reasoning.
